I went to New York in 2004 and visited Ground Zero, it’s hard to imagine the pain New Yorkers go through by seeing it everyday.

The time capsule has been given a facelift by TheNoughtiesPage.com. The website is a fun and easy way to leave your memories of the Noughties for all to see. Its the first online website of it’s kind. TheNoughtiesPage.com is powered by TheTextPage.com (see The Weirdest Website we’ve seen so far), and is full of colourful text just like it. Not only does it allow you to submit a 140 character summary of your decade for free, it also allows you to donate to Cancer Research UK with the click of a button – if you choose. This is a great feature of the website as people can donate if they choose or simply write their mark on the Noughties and leave. But I will add that I’m about to write mine & will donate!

Scary times when the planes totalled the towers, I thought it was WORLD WAR 3! Thank the lord!

2000’s -9/11, BUSH, WAR, Ipod’s, Google, Obama, Michael Jackson – memories of a crazy time in history

I hope we never see another 9/11, or a hurricane that causes so much pain & homelessness. Human life is fragile.

Tears shed as I watched the screen, people feared for their lives but carried on searching. 9/11 a sad day.

I started the 2000’s with hope, that hope disappeared with the towers, we were all so scared, terrorism went straight for the apple.

9/11 was bad, terrorism was high, the president changed, the music got better, the people united.

The computer virus started it, then the towers came down, the Bush started War & the natural disasters caused death.

I remember being scared after 9/11, not wanting to go on the London underground. Unfortunately my fears were right.

Fahrenheit 9/11 was a film that truly took you to New York on that fateful day in 2001. RIP to all the victims.

Can’t believe almost a quarter of a million died in the 2004 tsunami. How did 9/11 overshadow that? Conspiracy theories huh?

George Bush was the biggest disgrace of the Noughties behind 9/11. A lot of people worldwide suffered for an ego.

If you think of the Noughties in pictures you can’t help but visualise the twin towers, the ash & the faces of the New Yorkers. RIP.

I still remember the 11th of Sep 01 very clearly, seems like yesterday. A day that dawned a new people, new feelings and huge regret.
