Yes it’s that time of year again when smokers will try and quit on the 10th of March. We all know the same story, they quit for the day or even the week and them woops back to puffing the sticks again. But wait can Facebook help with a new App, WeQuit, which is a charity and website set up to for No Smoking Day.

WeQuit believe it will make it easier for smokers to quit together rather than feeling alone. Their App will help friends give strength to each other games such as ‘The Wall of Shame’ to help. The Wall of Shame allows users to post pics of sly smokers breaking their resolution, shaming them to all on Facebook. How nice is that, smoke and get shamed!

Google have come to the last straw with China and may pull out due to the constant restraints set by the country. But Chinese people have already got a replacement lined up, Goojje launched on January 14^th this year.

Goojje has a search engine and provides social networking services. It also has a Google-styled logo in it’s homepage. The name, Goojje, was chosen by the new search engine due to it’s play on words. The final syllable “jje” sounds like the Chinese word “older sister,” while the “gle” syllable of “Google” is pronounced like the Chinese word for “older brother”.

It’s funny how Goojje was launched just as Google gets hit with massive restraints and sophisticated hacking. Conspiracy?

I found this pic and just had to share this hilarious but slightly dangerous revenge ploy. So here’s how you do a Facebook revenge that can NEVER, I mean NEVER be lived down, EVER! Here’s the story in bullets:
•    Chris gets caught drinking after his sister (Katie) snitches on him to their strict Asian parents
•    Chris gets grounded for 3 months but looks for revenge and finds his sisters ‘Hook up List’, which states who she wants to ummm entertain and who she has done already!
•    Like any angry youngster Chris uploads it onto Facebook and tags all the guys listed!!!!!

Nasty, perverted people have taken the new Facebook bra craze, in which Facebookers give details of their bra colour, and urged women to post naked adult movies of themselves on the net.

I must say I thought I was going mad when I saw that my FB friends had colours in their statuses. Until I discovered it was a viral campaign for Cancer Research and I willingly joined in the status fun. But then someone has to go and abuse this new viral trend by sending out this chain message;

“*****WARNING*** URGENT! FACEBOOK VIRUS ALERT. An email recently went out to women asking them to post the color of their BRA. THIS IS A VIRUS. To fix it, you must remove your bra, then go to Settings> Enable Webcam> Record Movie. Please repost to your status message.”

Obviously anyone with a brain cell is not going to fall for the above but instead people have started posted it in their statuses as a joke. Facebook is truly a place for freedom and fun, only there could a nasty prank be turned into a joke for all to laugh at!

Feeling sorry for yourself? Need more Facebook friends to show people your cool? Well help is at hand, an Australian company, uSocial, is charging £125 for blocks of 1,000 friends on Facebook and Twitter.

Chief executive, Leon Hill, confirmed an unprecedented surge of inquiries about his service over the Christmas period.

He told The Sun Newspaper: “Social networking sites can be cruel if you’re unloved – they show exactly how popular you are.

“People are buying pals so they have more mates to chat to, rather than sitting alone on their PCs.”

On the one hand this is a very sad side of social networking, how pathetic must people be to want to buy theirselves friends? But on the other hand, people may also want to promote their services or business and I guess there’s nothing wrong with that.

Lawyers for Facebook have also tried to get the service shut down.
